The Blyth Institute debuted its new Mobile Microscopy Laboratory on June 24-25 at the Tulsa Homeschool Expo in a public lab for students of all ages.  We had a variety of activities including observing pre-made slides, observing pond water, bacterial observation, and gram staining.  Students made photographs of their slide preparations using a microscope camera.

The Blyth Institute is pleased to announce that its Microscope Leasing Program is active in several classrooms across the state of Oklahoma, helping students in Tulsa and Oklahoma City have better access to necessary equipment.

March 1, 2014 The Blyth Institute is proud to announce the release of Engineering and the Ultimate: an Interdisciplinary Investigation of Order and Design in Nature and Craft. This volume is based on the Engineering and Metaphysics conference held by the institute.

June 15-16, 2012 The Blyth Institute co-organized the Engineering and Metaphysics 2012 conference with the ORU college of science and engineering.  We are now working on putting together a proceedings volume and getting the talks online.

March 9, 2012 The Blyth Institute’s Jonathan Bartlett was featured on the Real Science Friday radio show.  We will be discussing advances in genetics and the new picture that is being painted about how organisms adapt and change.

March 6, 2012 The Blyth Institute delivered a lecture on “Minds, Machines, and Mathematics” to ORU’s History of Quantitative Thought class.
